About Maren
Teacher, former nurse, mostly barefoot
I came to yoga late and by accident, on a night shift in a hospital where a colleague showed me how to breathe when I thought I was going to fall over. That was fourteen years ago. I have been teaching for nine.
My training is in hatha and yin, with a long detour through anatomy that comes from the nursing years. I care about what a joint is actually doing, and about people leaving class feeling better than they arrived, which is not always the same as feeling like they worked hard.

What to expect from me
- Clear instructions and hands-off adjustments unless you ask
- Options for every pose, including doing nothing
- A class that finishes on time
- No incense
Rest is not the reward for practice. It is part of it.
